A rally of supporters of Guillaume Soro planned in Belgium

The supporters of Guillaume Soro have decided to give voice to the exile of their mentor. The soroistes announce a large gathering on Saturday April 2, 2022 in front of the headquarters of the European Union in Belgium.

Guillaume Soro moves up a gear

Guillaume Soro has still not returned to Côte d’Ivoire. The founder of GPS (Generations and Peoples in Solidarity) is out of luck with his former mentor Alassane Ouattara. Since December 23, 2019, the former rebel leader has been in exile in Europe. The former president of the National Assembly was sentenced to life imprisonment by the justice of his country.

In an interview given to our colleagues from Générations Nouvelles, Nadine N’guessan, member of the European delegation of GPS, announces a large gathering of soroists in Brussels on April 2, 2022 in front of the headquarters of the European Union. She explains the choice of this place is not fortuitous. Indeed, specifies this close friend of Guillaume Soro, the EU headquarters hosts the services and executive agencies of the European Commission. It is therefore the right way to make the voice of Generations and Peoples in Solidarity heard on the situation that its leader is going through.

“The main objective is to obtain from the European authorities the respect of fundamental rights, by those who claim to be the cradle and the guarantor of human rights”, confided Nadine N’guessan. Moreover, she is convinced that a true dialogue is not possible without Guillaume Soro. Despite defections and challenges, we must not doubt the nobility of our fight. We must mobilize and act tirelessly for the advent of a free, independent, truly democratic Côte d’Ivoire,” she said to the Soroists.

As we can see, the supporters of Guillaume Soro are preparing to make a big show of force in order to send a strong signal to the RHDP (Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace) and to Alassane Ouattara.
