Algeria and Djamel Belmadi will have to validate their ticket for Qatar at the expense of Cameroon this Tuesday during the final match of the play-offs in Blida without one of their indisputable holders.
On waivers after their 1-0 victory in Douala last Friday, Algeria receives Cameroon on Tuesday for the return leg of the 2022 World Cup play-offs. Coach Djamel Belmadi, however, can do without one of his holders.
This is Borussia Monchengladbach defender Ramy Bensebaini. The former Stade Rennais player received a yellow card in the 77th minute during the success in Japoma against the Indomitable Lions. A sanction which deprives him of participation for the return match.
A big headache therefore awaits the technician Djamel Belmadi, since on the left, Bensebaini’s understudy is Youcef Laouafi. The latter has to date zero matches with the national team of Algeria.
