Manchester United’s latest nugget, Anthony Elanga, has reconsidered his choice to defend the colors of Sweden at the expense of Cameroon.

Anthony Elanga will take his first steps in the selection of Sweden during the play-offs of the 2022 World Cup in the European zone. But the son of Joseph Elanga, former Cameroonian international (17 caps), could well have been in the Den of the Indomitable Lions who also compete in the play-offs, because of his multi-nationality.

Present at this Tuesday’s conference on the sidelines of Sweden’s confrontation with the Czech Republic, Anthony Elanga, who has gone through all the lower categories of the Swedish selection, explained his decision to play for the Blågult.

“I was born in Sweden, and Sweden means a lot to me. Everyone knows I could have represented Cameroon and England, but for me it has always been Sweden. It’s a dream to represent Sweden at this level.” he confided in the company of Zlatan Ibrahimovic who sent him some praise.

“A great talent, we are proud and happy that he comes from Sweden. He has the whole future ahead of him, and if he continues like this, it’s positive. It’s just about fighting, never being satisfied, always wanting more. It depends on him. »,

said the Swedish giant on the young Mancunian prodigy.
