Chapter 220 – Mated To Big Brother-in-law

Hanna tried to calm both of her children. She was concerned that both of her children were pushing themselves too far during their arguments.

She missed the day when they had love for each other, but now they stopped showing the love toward each other.

She believed her son was really capable of understanding what was right or wrong for their family. After all, he was the gamma of the pack, the biggest warrior of the pack.

However, Hanna had no idea that Alpha Bryan was Sophia’s mate. That was the reason she wondered why she always talked about Bryan in a harsh tone.

She thought Bryan had scolded her during the time when she was his personal secretary, and that was the reason why Sophia was mad at him.

Hanna did not like how Sophia was taking Alpha Victor’s side. She was an old pack member and was aware of the Moon Valley Pack. People knew how cruel Alpha Victor was. Fear was the only thing that his pack members felt toward him. In that case, how could she and Abraham allow Sophia to be friends with him?

She was grateful that Alpha Bryan cared enough to take care of this matter. So she said to Sophia,

“Alpha knows what is right for all of us.”

Sophia was fuming inside. She wanted to growl in anger, but she controlled herself because she did not want to push her family away.

“Brother, please manage a pass for me. I really want to attend the pack party.”

Abarham shook his head. “You know what is going to happen there. Why do you want to go?”

“You will not give me a pass?”

“No. Even if Alpha had not told me, I would not have let you go either.”

Sophia nodded her head in agreement. “Okay. Do whatever you want. Go alone and have fun.”

She turned around and went upstairs. She was mad at herself. She should not look weak to others.

But she could not be cold toward her family for what Bryan had done to her. She could not treat them in the same way she wanted to treat Bryan.

“I think I am getting weaker again. I have to get myself back on track. No one can make me an emotional fool again. I have done everything I could to secure my brother’s position. Right now, I don’t have any responsibility anymore. I will do what I feel is right for me.”

The next day,

Sophia left her house early in the morning after making breakfast. She did not care if Abraham was still in the house, even though she knew he had left early.

She went to the university since she had not attended her classes for the last two days.

She met her friends and went straight to her classes.

“What are you saying? You have no way to get to the party?” Sara asked her.

They were seated in the cafeteria. Sophia told her about yesterday’s conversation with her brother.

“No. That man is afraid I will tell the truth to his in-laws. That’s why he doesn’t want me to attend the party.”

Sara patted her hand. “I think your brother knows you will only get hurt seeing them together.”

Sophia gave Sara a look. “I won’t.”

Sara raised her hands to surrender herself. “Okay, okay, you will not feel anything. Now, don’t get mad.”

Sophia turned away from her. Suddenly, something caught her eye as she looked at it carefully.

“What happened to her?” Sophia asked, pointing at Luisa.

Luisa looked broken, and people around her glanced at her as if she were some kind of laughing stock.

Sara took out her phone from her bag and put it on the table, then pushed it in Sophia’s direction after typing something.

“Give it a look.”

Sophia picked up the phone and checked the university group’s post.

“Luisa was fired! Don’t be shocked or upset about this girl. She doesn’t deserve our sympathy. She is not the one who won the project in the competition a year and a half ago. It was someone else. But she snatched the opportunity from that person and cheated in the competition.”

Sophia froze at her place. She glanced at Sara, who nodded her head. “Keep reading. There’s more to see.”

Sophia returned her focus to the post.

“Morrison Group gave her a big project a year ago to fulfill her dream, but it looks like she doesn’t know the core point of the project, which almost cost the company a big loss. So Alpha fired her from his company and sealed her CV. She is now good for nothing.”

Sophia put the phone on the table with a puzzle look. She recalled the day when she told Bryan the truth about Luisa. That day, he called Luisa into his office. When Sophia wanted to stay close to him, he sent her home. She later found out that Luisa was working on a project that was actually hers. She was angry with Bryan at the time because he did not trust her.

“So he finally accepted that I was not lying?” Sophia mumbled with a disapproving look.

Sara glanced at Luisa and said, “That woman got such an amazing punishment. I don’t want to say that, but Alpha is a really cold-hearted man. He sealed her CV. Now, no one will hire her for their company.”

Sophia rolled her eyes. “That man should lose the money before firing Luisa. I warned him that it was not her project, but still, he gave her a chance.”

Sara paused for a moment before asking,

“Sophia, don’t you think Alpha is not so stupid? I mean, he is a business tycoon in the business world. He not only owns a pack company but also has subsidy companies all over the world.”

Sophia was confused about what Sara wanted to say. “What do you mean?”

After thinking about it, Sara responded,

“I think Alpha gave her the chance intentionally. He gave her hope at first. Luisa had worked extremely hard to shine her fate with just one project. But just as it was about to be processed, Alpha snatched all of her dreams of living a peaceful life in this pack.”

Sophia was stunned. Did he actually believe her that day?

There was a silent fall between them. Sophia glanced at Luisa again, who was on the verge of crying.

Her attention was diverted when her phone began to ring in her bag.

She pulled out her phone and answered the call.

“Victor.”

Sara immediately turned her head to face her. Sophia gave her a nod to assure her that everything was okay.

“Are you coming tomorrow or not?”

Victor’s voice rang out of the phone. Sophia replied in a low tone.

“I can’t. Brother said Alpha Bryan didn’t give him a pass.”

“That’s it? It’s not even an excuse, Sophia.”

“What do you mean?”

She heard him chuckle and say,

“You have the head Alpha with you, who is also the chief guest. One pass? I can give you a hundred passes for the party. Just get ready to go with me.”
