The Rogue Alpha’s Unexpected Mate Chapter 61

Chrystal POV

“Zanian slow down, what do you mean?”

“I know what I have to do the only problem is finding them.” Zanian said walking up and down in the room with his hands behind his head.

I walked up to him putting my hand on his shoulders and stopping him before he walks a hole into the floor. “who do you need to find?” I asked again.

He let out a sight and dropped his hands to his sides and said, “the elders.”

‘Of course’ I thought to myself as I stare at Zanian. “where do you think they could be?” I asked him feeling a bit of hope bubble up inside me.

“I don’t know.” Zanian said and sat down on the bed.

My head snapped up and I ran out of the room back to Zanian’s office. I know Spike said he doesn’t want to be a part of the war but he might as well help behind the scene right. I moved the bookcase and opened the door walking down the steps. His place is lighter than there usually is.

“Spike, are you here?” I called out and waited at the bottom of the step. I saw Spike coming around the corner with his head buried in a book.

“Spike.” I said and he almost dropped the book.

“what the hell? You almost gave me a heart attack.” He said and I just shrugged my shoulders apologetically.

“what now?” he asked and eyed me up and down.

“we need to find the council members, do you know how?” spike’s eyes went wide for a second before a slow smile graced his lips. He put the book down on the table and looked at me, “you really don’t know the definition of I don’t want to get involved do you?” he asked me with a raised brow.

“what is the use of you being here if you don’t even want to help then?” I challenged him and all that got me was a glare and a snarl.

“Damn foxes, so persistent and so annoying.” Spike said and glared at me.

“I can’t tell you where to find them because their location is even unknown to me, but I can tell you where you can go and they will find you.” Spike said, and for some reason I will not like this outcome.

“they have a seer with them, so all you need to do is call her and plead your case.” Spike said and I looked at him funny. “what is a seer?” I asked.

“it’s someone who gets visions of the past, present and future but unlike me their visions change based on the decisions that’s made. Their visions are not set in stone so be careful what you decide.” Spike said and went over to his book collection handing me a very old book. Everything you will need is in this book all you have to do is be truthful.” Spike said and left again.

I handed the book to Zanian and told him everything Spike told me. “so how do we know which one is the right one?” Zanian asked looking at me.

“maybe I can help.” Zanian and I both just stare at the person who spoke and my words died.

“Zara Is that you?” I asked looking at her stunned.

Her once long blond hair is now cut shoulder length and it’s not blond anymore but almost like a pale white. She looks skinnier but in a good way though and she stands with more confidence that before.

I ran to her and threw my arms around her. “what happened to you?” I asked.

She hugged me back and chuckled. “I went through my Ascending that is why I left.” She said and I really wish they could use smaller words or explain as they talk.

I think my expression gave me away because she said, “Ascending is when a witch fully grows into her powers.” Zara said and I formed an O with my mouth. I let go of her and Zanian handed her the book. “It’s good to have you back.” Zanian said and gave her a small hug.

“Okay, so you want to call upon a seer?” Zara asked and raised her brow looking between Zanian and me.

“we need to find the Council members and we don’t have time till they find us.” Zanian said.

“Okay, we will need salt, candles and a mirror.” Zara said and walked out of the room.

“This is exciting” I said standing in the middle of the woods waiting for Zara to do her magic.

I don’t know what happened, one minute there was nothing there and the next minute the candles lit by themselves and I don’t know if it’s fog or smoke but either way this is freaky.

I look around and my eyes landed on Zanian, he is staring in awe at what is happening, as for me well I’m a little freaked out.

Zara was mumbling words I didn’t understand and it’s like all the smoke just got sucked into the mirror forming a person.

“okay you have three minutes.” Zara said and motioned us towards the mirror. When we got closer it was no more smoke but a woman, a very old very tired looking woman.

“we meet again Zanian.” The woman said.

“you, h… how is this possible?” Zanian asked but just shook his head instead.

“we need to call a meeting with the council members.” Zanian said looking at the woman. I was just standing there confused as to how they know each other.

“and how will you do that?” the woman asked.

“by finding them.” Zanian said in a duh tone.

“the council members cannot be found. And that is for their safety unless you forgot about the previous war that almost wiped them out.” The woman said looking at me.

“please another war will start in less than a week and innocent people will once again pay.” I said looking at the woman. When she looked at me I don’t know what she saw, but all she said was, “the last fox.” Her eyes went wide for a second before she said, “a meeting will be set up you will know where to be in two days.”

And then she disappeared and everything went back to normal. I looked at Zara and she too was just staring at Zanian.

“care to explain how you know her?” Zara said crossing her arms over her chest.

Zanian scratched the back of his head nervously and said, “I dreamt about her.”

“you did what?” I said in a voice a bit too high.

“this is good.” Zara said causing me to stare at her open mouthed.

“how is it good that my mate dreams about creepy old woman?” I asked shocked.

“that means the council knows what is going on, or at least some of it. A seer never just walks into someone’s dream without a purpose.” Zara said and looked at Zanian.

“did she blow something into your face?” Zara asked and stepped closer.

“how did you know?” Zanian asked.

“you didn’t find her by accident she called out to you.” Zara said and started packing up.

“so now we just have to wait two days and see what happens.” Zara said and walked off leaving us to follow.

Julian POV

“I’m telling you I don’t care Lana. She is my mate and I will stand with her until I die or she wishes me away.” I shouted starting to get angrier by the second.

“mating between wolves and vampires is forbidden by the oldest laws known to vampires Julian.” Lara said as calm and collected as ever. I wish I knew how she can always be this calm.

“you don’t understand.” I said in a low voice letting my emotions flow through.

“what do you mean Julian?” Lara asked and came to stand next to me as I took a seat on the first couch I could reach. “I’m not mated to a wolf, yes it’s one body and a wolf is involved, but I didn’t claim the wolf.” I said looking down at my entwined fingers taking a deep breath. “I claimed a fox.” When I heard Lana gasp I looked up to see her staring at me in surprise or horror maybe both.

“what have you done Julian?” she asked and I didn’t know what to say, instead I just lowered my head.

“I did what anyone would do if they find their mate. Tell me Lana if the tables were turned and you found that your mate is a wolf or whatever would have turned around and walked away?” I asked trying reversed psychiatry on her.

“I don’t know what I would have done Julian, but I would never go against our law.” I looked at her and said, well the law is changing because you remember Tracy?” I asked and saw Lana thinking then she nodded her head, “well she is mated to a wolf from the same pack as my mate.” I said and watched her expression change from confusion to surprise.

“what is happening with our world?” she asked and fell down on the couch a bit too dramatically.

“just don’t tell anyone about this yet, I will deal with the vampire royals in time.” I said and exhaled loudly.

“so what do you need me to do again?” Lana asked and narrowed her eyes at me.

“I need you to look after the coven while I’m gone, and then I will need you to take over, because I am not leaving my mate and you are the only blood relative I have.” I said and looked at her with pleading eyes.

She gave a loud sigh and got up. “so you are seriously standing in this war?”

“yes I am Lana. This war can change a lot of things for us, and if Zanian becomes king he can banish the law about wolves and vampires and then all that’s left is the vampire royals which I already have a plan for.” I said and got up from the chair pacing around.

“you know that the throne is ours by birth right?” Lana said while looking at her nails.

“yes, and I know why our mother convinced father to give it up. She did what any true queen would do in order to save her people.”

“okay, you do what you have to do Julian I will do as you ask, but do not bring trouble to this door because when you leave you denounce your hold over this coven and I will be its new leader.”

“I know Lana and I will try my best, but when the time comes and I need your help I will expect you to open these doors as I did when you needed help.” I said and moved towards the door.

Now it begins. I didn’t expect Lana to just show up out of the blue after being gone for years after she first came here. Having her here is helping me in a way, but I do hope she can keep her mouth shut about me being alive to our mother, because that is another set of drama I don’t have time for right now.

Before she came barging into my room uninvited I was thinking about what Chrystal said. she is not rejecting me she just needs time and I know I said I will give her the time she needs, but isn’t that the same thing humans say just before they break up? For us it’s different but we are in a way still human just with perks.

I make my way out of the mansion like house and moved to where I asked the vampire army to meet me. getting them to agree was easy because most of them have lost their mates and some of them were forced to reject their mates because they were wolves, getting them ready well that is a whole other story. I told Zanian I can bring around five thousand vampires and I keep true to my word. I chose some of the highly trained ones just in case.

I could see everyone gathered and waiting for me as I walked up to them. I stood in front of them and said, “we are going to a wolf pack and this wolf pack is unlike any other they are kind and good if any of you pick a fight, or so much as harm a hair on their heads you will be executed by me.” I said looking around the crowed to anyone who might have an objection.

“when I chose you, each and every one were asked if they have a problem with helping the wolves and you all said no, do not make me think that I have taken in liars.” I said and scanned the crowed.

A man came up to me and said, “how do we know these wolves can be trusted?” he asked and It was a good question I’ll give him that.

“because they have been warned just as you have.” I said and looked at him when he didn’t say anything else I said, “we will leave at first light.” And I dismissed them.

Walking back into the house I went up to my room and started packing, I just hope Zanian has space for everyone. I thought as I gathered my clothes and threw them into a duffle bag.
