CAN 2023: “This is why Côte d’Ivoire is going to organize the best CAN in history” – Onze d’Afrik

Côte d’Ivoire will indeed be ready to host the 2023 African Cup of Nations. Work is almost complete on the various sites, with the exception of Félix Houphouët-Boigny (estimated at 25%). During his visit, the CAF president visited the San Pedro site. This allowed him to observe a reassuring evolution.
“We believe that the deadlines can be met. And Côte d’Ivoire is going to organize the best CAN that Africa has ever organized. We are reassured by the different infrastructures you have put in place to host this competition.”Patrice Motsepe told the Ivorian press.
If the works in San Pedro (Stadium and Cité CAN) are 70% complete, everything is not yet perfect, noted the boss of African football. “I am satisfied with the progress made, even if there are still a few problems to be resolved”added Patrice Motsepe. “All stadiums will be delivered by December 31, 2022”according to Paulin Claude Danho, Ivorian Minister of Sports.
