Champions League: Sadio Mané equals Cristiano Ronaldo and threatens Didier Drogba! – Eleven of Afrik





Liverpool’s Senegal striker Sadio Mane has written his name further into Champions League history after his new goal against Benfica on Tuesday night.
Liverpool took a big step towards the semi-finals on Tuesday night, beating Benfica Lisbon 3-1 in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. A victory acquired thanks in particular to a magnificent goal from Sadio Mané.
With this new achievement, the Senegalese star scored his 13th goal in the Champions League knockout phase since the 2017-2018 se ason. Only Cristiano Ronaldo has scored as many goals as the Senegalese winger during this period.
Sadio Mané also became the second best African scorer at this stage of the most prestigious of European competitions behind the emblematic former Ivorian striker, Didier Drogba (14 goals).
