Dark Web: the world’s largest black market has been shut down

After months of investigation, the German police closed the doors of Hydra Market, the largest black market in the world.

An amount worth 23 million euros in bitcoin was also seized. In 2020, the platform, with 17 million customers, had generated a turnover of 1.23 billion euros.

It’s a very good catch for the Frankfurt parquet floor. Specialized in the sale of drugs, stolen data and false documents, Hydra Market is the largest illegal sales site in the world on the Dark Web.

But, despite this feat by the police, a major problem still persists. The identity of the administrators of the platform still remains unknown.

This case of course refers to the recent arrest of 150 arms traders by authorities around the world, following the closure in 2021 of Dark Market. At that time, Dark Market held the title of the Dark Web’s largest black market.
