DRC: Jean-Claude Van Damme, ambassador of sport and culture
Belgian-American actor Jean-Claude Van Damme received his diplomatic passport this Wednesday, April 6 in Kinshasa. The Congolese authorities have entrusted the film star with the mission of being the ambassador of sport and culture on an international level.
“It is also the title of wildlife ambassador to help the ecology of the country, a childhood dream. It is to help animals and nature, because the Congo is one of the two lungs of the Earth. We spend so many resources to go to other planets when there are things to fix on this Earth”
Armed with his Congolese passport, Jean-Claude Van Damme will put his energy into attracting more investors, particularly in the agricultural sector. “It is to be able to feed our country, to be less dependent on importing countries, so that the Congo is much more autonomous. Which can boost the economy of the country, because our land is very fertile”he explained, specifying that his contribution is voluntary.
