Senegalese international striker Boulaye Dia spoke on the sidelines of Senegal’s double confrontation with Egypt for the 2022 World Cup play-offs.

After the first round in the CAN final won by the Teranga Lions, Mohamed Salah’s teammates will be keen to take their revenge against the African Champions. This makes the trip to Cairo, this Friday, March 25, different from the Cameroon scenario according to Boulaye Dia.

“It will be a totally different match from the CAN final. Because this is a double confrontation, they will have a revengeful spirit but in the return match it is at home in front of our public. And if we have a first leg result, it will be difficult to come and win with us. assured the Villarreal striker.

“But hey, I know it’s going to be hot over there Mdr (…) the atmosphere, their audience will push them but we’re ready. We have a good squad, players who play in Europe, who have a lot of qualities, known to the general public. We will be ready for the atmosphere”

added Boulaye Dia who is hoping for a party in Dakar for the return leg on March 29.

“At home, it will be a party, hoping that it will be a day of victory, of qualifying so that we can continue our momentum at the World Cup. It will be special, we played for the first time in our new stadium which is magnificent”
