Ghana: very good news for the group of pallbearers

Popular Ghanaian coffin bearer Benjamin Aidoo has sold his band’s viral coffin dance as NFT for over $1 million or so.

Aidoo’s group of dancing coffin bearers went viral in 2020 after their videos were turned into memes at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He sold the NFT coffin dance meme for 372eth (Ethereum), which equals the sum of $1.046 million.

According to data available on Africa Facts Zone, it was auctioned at @3FMusic this Saturday, April 9, 2022, after an intense bidding session.

The non-fungible token is a non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a blockchain, a form of digital ledger, which can be sold and traded.

NFT data unit types can be associated with digital files such as photos, videos, and audio files.
