Jacques Anouma: “What I said to Didier Drogba about his candidacy for the FIF” – Onze d’Afrik

The General Assembly of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) will be held in two weeks. The most anticipated event is the election of the future president of the body. Among the candidates, that of Didier Drogba.
The former captain of the Elephants is counting on his program, deemed attractive, to win the election. But, in the opinion of former FIF boss Jacques Anouma, it will take more to hope to lead Ivorian football.
“I told Drogba that the program alone was not enough to be elected president of the Federation, reveals Jacques Anouma on Ivorian television LA3, this Tuesday, March 22. Me, I had been elected in relation to my experience. The club presidents choose the one they find capable of leading their association.
About the texts which govern the election, Jacques Anouma rejects any discrimination against Didier Drogba. In fact, he states that “the active members unanimously voted the texts of the Federation in 2011”. “So they are not made against anyone and for anyone
Jacques Anouma adds: “I met the clubs, they all accepted the five sponsorships. Five because at FIFA, it’s five sponsorships. The GA will be held on April 5, as planned. Those who meet the conditions will be candidates.
