A Nigerian lady, Boluwatife Ikwunne has broken the record of the University of Ibadan after taking up the role meant for a select few to become the youngest speaker ever in the school’s history.

Boluwatife took to LinkedIn to announce she was picked as the speaker at the university’s 2021 matriculation which made her the youngest ever speaker in the institution’s history.

She expressed gratitude for the opportunity, describing the experience as one never to be forgotten in her life.

Boluwatife said, ”when I got a call from the acting Vice Chancellor that I had been nominated to speak at the 2021 matriculation ceremony, to say I was stunned would be an understatement.

“I would be the youngest ever matriculation speaker in the history of the University of Ibadan.

“I knew that this was a huge responsibility, first to ensure that I did justice to the speech, communicating navigation keys to more than four thousand freshmen, and next to ensure that my performance would pave the way for this new tradition of younger generation matriculation speakers,” she narrated.
