Egypt’s national team are suffering a double blow after their narrow 1-0 victory at home against Senegal in the play-offs of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Yesterday Friday, Egypt won 1-0 for when they received Senegal thanks to a CSC from Saliou Ciss as part of the play-off for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. A serious option for a possible qualification of the Pharaohs who will however have to make two of their starting players.

They are indeed Mohamed Abdel Monem and Hamdi Fathi. The central defender of Al Ahly, who was injured in the first leg on Friday, is forfeited for the trip to Dakar next Tuesday, as is his teammate in club and midfield, Hamdi Fathi. A double blow for the coach of Egypt, Carlos Queiroz, who therefore loses two holders.
