Sporting: The sad reason why Slimani was excluded in the middle of a training session – Onze d’Afrik

Algerian international Islam Slimani was expelled during a Sporting Lisbon training session by his coach on Friday. The reason ? “lack of involvement”.

Rùben Amorim did not let Islam Slimani finish Friday’s training session. The Portuguese newspaper Record reveals that the technician excluded the Algerian striker for his “lack of commitment”but also its “inability to exert great effort” with the team.

Amorim had also decided not to establish Slimani. And the latter did not at all appreciate starting on the bench. A situation that would have greatly annoyed him until he was excluded from the training session. The Fennec was subsequently dismissed from this Saturday’s match against Tondela. A sad situation…
