Some of the parents and candidates, who spoke with Gistongist said WAEC would have left it to hold as scheduled, because the challenges posed by Covid-19, is gradually diminishing.

Other, said the postponement was good and reasoned that it would give time for the candidates to make adequate preparations.

The Council’s Head of National Office (HNO), Mr Patrick Areghan, noted that the effect of the coronavirus , COVID-19, pandemic was still much felt in the education sector.

He said the entire education calendar has been distorted, therefore, it may not be possible to conduct the examination as scheduled.

Me Areghan however explained that a convenient timetable for the conduct of the examination would soon be released.

He then appealed to all the school principals and proprietors to keep to the stipulated timelines for the enrolment of candidates for the examination.
