Ghana will have to find better than superstitions to defeat Nigeria according to Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa.

In two days, Ghana will host Nigeria at Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for the first leg of the 2022 World Cup play-offs in Qatar. The Black Stars have never lost in this legendary arena.

However, Ahmed Musa remains unfazed and does not fear the Kumasi stadium at all. “I have never played in Ghana but I played a friendly match against them”said the captain of the Super Eagles at the outset, during a press conference this Wednesday in Abuja. The Fatih Karagümrük striker is not afraid of the mythical stadium.

“We heard a lot of things that they didn’t lose at this stadium (Babayara). If you remember the CAN 2021 qualifiers we played in Benin Republic, they told us they didn’t lose there and we went there and won. So I think we are going to go out there and make history by winning in Kumasi.”
