Popular actress Yvonne Nelson, dragged Ghanaian President Akufo-Addo through the mud and said Ghanaians were not happy with the state of the nation.
Ghanaian actress and film producer, Yvonne Nelson, lashes out at President Akufo-Addo over rising oil prices.
Over the past few months, Ghana has seen a steady increase in this sector almost at the end of every week and Yvonne is not happy about it.
In a post seen by YEN.com.gh on Yvonne’s Instagram, she shared a video of Akufo-Addo confidently walking with those around him.
In the caption, Yvonne wrote: “Mr. President, are you satisfied so far? We are not! .”
She has been critical of the president since the prices of fuel and other petroleum products began to soar.
In another Tweet, Yvonne revealed that she went to fill up her gas cylinder and she was shocked to learn that the prices had skyrocketed.
Yvonne also complained about the depreciation of the cedi, and perhaps she is not happy with the passage of the E-levy either.
Her tweet, however, created strong reactions from some NPP supporters and communicators and they did not spare Yvonne Nelson at all.
A certain Saint Kristoni, for example, defended the government and said that oil prices were rising all over the world and not just in Ghana.
Another Nana Hesse Ogyiri, criticized Yvonne for being deaf to global crises.
Siisi in turn also asked if Yvonne Nelson was buying the same Gucci shoes she bought last year at the same price, implying that she should expect things to not be the same.
